With a size of about 10 km2 (in some places up to 2km wide), the beach of Amrum counts among northern Europe’s largest sand beaches. Together with an extensive strip of dunes and Northern Frisia’s characteristic mudflats, it creates a unique mix of landscapes. Like on no other island in Germany, here you can find true solitude and the feeling of being surrounded only by nature with little and sometimes no traces of civilization anywhere to be seen or heard – a magic experience I aim to capture in my photos. Enjoy!
