A game
From time to time I like to play a little game on my FlickR stream. I post an abstract image or an extremely tight crop of a subject. Then I ask my followers to guess the subject. Over the years FlickR has turned into a fav and run community but some of my great followers still like to participate.
This time I posted the image that you can see on top of this page. I shot in the Zoo of Münster, Germany. It is a great zoo with one special feature: Many of its paths are roofed, so that you can walk there on dry foot even when it’s raining. Fortunately, the weather was fine when went there with two fellow photographers.
Feathers
I have been working on my “Tight Crops” series for quite a while now and originally I originally shot this frame for it. However, since then I started a new project called “Feathers” and I will post about it here as soon as I complete it.
This particular bird is, of course, a pelican. Some of my (very clever) FlickR followers have guessed it accurately. Congrats.
BTW, I shot this image on the same day as these two pelican shots. Both were very well received on FlickR. I find that pelicans are fascinating birds. Maybe this is why I just can’t walk by a pelican without taking a picture of it.
