This is a gallery of photographs taken at the renowned Guggenheim Museum in New York in October 2024. The museum itself is not only famous for its collection comprising about 8000 works of art, but also for its architecture designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. For more details on the architecture, check out the corresponding Wikipedia article. Here, it suffices to say, that it is iconic, to say the least, explaining why I wanted to photograph there.
nfortunately, when I was there, the main gallery was being renovated and, therefore, was not accessible to visitors. So, I had to content myself with photographing the exterior architecture of the Guggenheim Museum as it can be seen from 5th Avenue, resulting in a relatively limited set of angles and photographic possibilities. The gallery below contains the results of my efforts and reflects my affinity for abstract lines and shapes, which can also be found in my other architectural work.
